Welcome traveler! You have wandered through the forest and found yourself at an Earthy, Metal blog of sorts. Come sit and stay a while. What do the voices of the forest have to tell you? More than any tomb compiled by the words of man.
This blog takes a three tiered approach. We cover aspects of art, spiritual wisdom and the environment. Three is a magical number. There are three Earthly realms: Earth, Air and Sea. It is the unity between the mind, body and soul.
Let the Earth be my body, fertile ground from which I spring.
Let music and art flow through my soul with the tempest passion of the ocean.
And from the sky shines wisdom luminous, with the eternal brightness of the sun.
ANCIENT WISDOM
In the days of old druids were charged with memorizing the collective spiritual wisdom of a people, their tales, their poems, their art, etc. In this way, the people would always be connected to their roots – roots that spring from the wealth and richness of the Earth.
Today most people are completely disconnected from the Earth – and disconnected from themselves! We might as well be living on a space station considering how disconnected we are from the planet. Embracing and understanding the wisdom of the ancients is a way to reconnect with the planet.
ART AND MUSIC
Music and art convey an understanding where words fail. This is why this blog covers so much metal music, as well as other alternative styles. Much metal music has embraced and celebrated many of the stories and themes of ancient Pagan Gods. Led Zeppelin incorporates runes in their band art. Amon Amarth celebrates the bravery of ancient vikings and the wisdom of the Norse Gods.
THE EARTH
And of course all these things come back to the Earth. The Earth is the foundation of truth and reality. It is a system that has stood the rigors of time for billions of years. Many of our ancestors values revered and respected the Earth because they had to live by the trials of nature every day.
Today we are on a destructive road. The mainstream culture tells us to sit down and shut up while our world’s leaders pillage the wealth of the Earth.
Turning the other cheek and sitting by passively as the world lights on fire isn’t going to help anyone. Celtic and Viking warriors didn’t suffer fools. We shouldn’t either. True values celebrate the strength to stand up and shout for what we believe is right.
So What is Metal Gaia?
Metal Gaia is the center of the triple threaded knot. It is a source for information about the Earth, Art, Music, Paganism and Earth based culture. Don’t be shy, feel free to comment or give me a shout if you have something that you yourself wanna share. Let us share the ancient wisdom via new mediums. Let the internet be a place where the voices of the forest can be heard.

Once I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a remark is added I get 4 emails with the identical comment. Is there any method you can take away me from that service? Thanks!

Was awesome! I think it also had some subconscious messages about the world we’re living in and where things are going. Loki’s quest to give people freedom by taking their freedom definitely reminds me of the United States. Also, there were a lot of themes about the importance of running off of green energy. For example, Iron Man powering his facility with Green Energy. Team Work was the third important theme of that movie. We need to work together to fight the corporate giants and corrupt governments who threaten to take our liberty.
