Nuclear Assault – Critical Mass

Here’s some old school “environ-metal.” And you know it’s old school because MTV is actually playing a music video. This thrash metal band from New York formed in 1984, and has broken up and reformed three times. In fact, they are still around today. Their lyrics deal with politics, society, warfare, humor and corruption. Dan Lilker, a key member of the band, was also in Anthrax, and played live for Dark Angel and Soulfly.

The video above is a thrashy, head banging warning about mankind’s destruction of the planet through oil spills and nuclear waste – as well as mankind’s eventual destruction of itself.
